COVID-19 Policy

At Bumble Bee Speech Therapy, the well-being of our clients and their families is our first priority. It is important that we do our best to keep each other safe and healthy during this difficult and confusing time.

Fortunately, you don’t have to leave your home to access our Speech Pathology services, as we are a mobile and Telehealth practice. We are able to offer Telehealth services to clients who are not comfortable to receive in-person Speech Pathology sessions, or who have been instructed to self-isolate.

To ensure the safety of clients and their families, Speech Pathologists will not visit your home if they:

  • Have a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19

  • Have been instructed to self-isolate

  • Have a cough, sore throat or fever

  • Have been in contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 within the past 14 days

  • Have been overseas within the past 14 days

In return, we ask that clients inform their Speech Pathologist immediately if they:

  • Have a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19

  • Have been instructed to self-isolate

  • Have any cold or flu-like symptoms (fever, cough, sore throat, sneezing, runny nose etc.)

  • Have been in contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case within 14 days

  • Have been overseas within 14 days

Appointments can generally be rescheduled to a Telehealth format or postponed until your child is well. Please cancel or reschedule the appointment before 3pm the day before your appointment to avoid a Cancellation Fee.

If you or your child are observed to exhibit cold/flu-like symptoms during a session, the clinician may cancel the session at their discretion. In this case, you will be liable for the cost of the session.

During active outbreaks of COVID-19, your Speech Pathologist will disinfect resources and toys regularly, and use hand sanitiser between clients.

Thank you for working with us to ensure that we can all stay healthy and safe during this difficult time.
