Cancellation Policy

At Bumble Bee Speech Therapy, we take time to prepare individually for each client, and see only a certain number of clients each day to ensure that we are providing the best possible service for each family.

Cancelling your appointment ahead of time allows us to reschedule another client for the session time.

Please note: cancellation fees are not intended as a penalty, but are necessary to ensure that we can operate properly and continue to provide services.

Cancellation Fee- Privately Funded Appointments

Should you need to cancel an appointment, please contact us as soon as possible. Please cancel the appointment before 3pm the previous business day, to avoid a Cancellation Fee.

In the event that an appointment is cancelled AFTER 3pm the previous day, or you fail to attend the appointment, a Cancellation Fee will apply.

On the first occasion of a late cancellation or no show,  50% of the session fee will be charged. On all subsequent late cancellations or no shows, the full session fee will be charged.

In the case of an emergency, the Cancellation Fee may be waived at the Clinician’s discretion. The more notice provided, the better!

The Cancellation Policy must be read and acknowledged before their first appointment will be confirmed.

By booking an appointment with Bumble Bee Speech Pathology, you confirm that you have read and understood our policies. Our policies can always be accessed on our website at www.bumblebeespeech.com.au

If we need to cancel an appointment, we will provide you with as much notice as possible. This would only occur in exceptional circumstances, such as if your treating Speech Pathologist became unwell.

Cancellation Fee- NDIS Funded Appointments

Should you need to cancel an appointment, please contact us as soon as possible.

NDIS plans include a budget which factors in occasional cancellations. According to the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA), “a cancellation is a short notice cancellation if the participant: does not show up for a scheduled support within a reasonable time, or is not present at the agreed place and within a reasonable time when the provider is travelling to deliver the support; or has given less than seven (7) clear business days’ notice for any other support.”

If a participant submits a short notice cancellation or misses an appointment without providing notice (i.e., “no-shows”) , then the provider is eligible to claim up to 100% of the agreed upon cost of service, subject to the NDIS Cancellation Policy within the NDIS Price Guide.

The Cancellation Policy must be read and acknowledged before their first appointment will be confirmed.
